2002 Grand National Result

As is normal for the Grand National 40 runners go to post and the usual question that gets asked prior to the race is how many will finish. In fact, on of the big Grand National betting markets is predicting the number of finishers in the National.

Generally around 18 horses finish the race but in 2002 this was always a long shot after the first fence when a total of 8 horses fell or where brought down. In the end there were 11 finishers of the race with Bindaree winning by 13/4 lengths from What\'s Up Boys.
